Sup dudes? Wanna get something for you girlfriend/ wife/ what have you? Here's a guide from a florist in the know.
When In Doubt, Keep With The Classics
You seriously can't go wrong with chocolates, flowers, or spa products. Frankly, any woman will love that you tried, and you can always play it up by getting a gift basket of goodies or a special flower bouquet. If your girl isn't the red roses and box of chocolates kind of lady, make it personal; get some fancy chocolate bars in flavors she likes, or get her unique flowers you think she would go for. Which brings me too:Find Out What She Likes
It isn't hard, some guys just don't think about it. I get some very thoughtful men every year who know just what their woman's favorite colors, scents, and flowers are; and I get a lot of men who have been married for forty years and don't know what their wife's favorite color is.You don't even have to ask her. Does she always carry a purple purse? Is her closet mainly reds? Is the kitchen decorated with yellow? Boom, a color you can trust.
Want to surprise her with a romantic bubble bath and pampering products? Check out her bathroom; is everything scented with vanilla, citrus, or coconut? Look for a set of those products or something fancy with a similar scent.
Customize Your Gift
So she doesn't love chocolate or taking long bubble baths; ask yourself what she does like to do. Think of something she does to relax and unwind. Does she knit, have 50 nail polishes, or love live action role playing? Get something specific to her tastes. If she loves gummy bears, go find some fancy brand and dress it up. There are no rules to finding a gift.Make it Fancy
You don't have to spend a lot to make it look great, just think ahead. Instead of grabbing a dozen red roses in the plastic they come in, have the florist wrap it in tissue. get a nice bow for chocolates, or get a gift basket filled with stuff she'll love. Presentation counts for a lot, so take a good look at what's out there, or ask your florist/ gift person to fancy it up a bit. Even if you run to the store at the last minute, these extra touches mean she won't ever know. She Hates Valentines Day?
Word. I feel you on this one. If your girl legit doesn't want to acknowledge the holiday, do some nice things around the house without being asked. She will be filled with love and brag that her man is so sweet they don't need Valentine's Day to celebrate their love.
Or take a tip from my husband; he randomly does something nice around February on his own time, which he feels means more (and I love it because I'm so busy at work around Valentine's).
So go out there and get her something amazing!
